Obituary of Ethel Thomas

Ethel passed away peacefully in Regina on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 31 years, Don; her second partner in life, Albert Neal; three brothers, Phillip, Andy and Sam; and two sisters, Lena and Irene. Ethel is survived by her son Marvin; daughter Kim (Doug) Hassman; two grandchildren, Connor (Andrea Phippen) and Alli (Kyle) Strayer; two brothers, Wally (June) and Terry (Inga), two sisters, Cathy McTavish and Ruth (Sylvester) Riffin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. EtheI will be remembered by all who knew her as a kind woman of generous spirit who found her greatest pleasures in family and community life.

A private family interment will be held at Regina Memorial Gardens.  A Celebration of Ethel’s Life will be announced at a later date.  The family would like to thank the staff at Selo Gardens Personal Care Home for their compassionate care, and staff and residents for giving Ethel a home and another family for her last few months.  Family and friends so wishing may make memorial donations in Ethel’s name to the Arthritis Society-Saskatchewan Division, 110-2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 3X1.
