Obituary of Elizabeth Marie Willems

ELIZABETH MARIE WILLEMS (née VARGA)

August 28, 1920 – December 16, 2017

Elizabeth passed away peacefully at Regina Pioneer Village on Saturday, December 16, 2017. She was the eighth of eleven children, born in St. Benedict, SK. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Varga (née Berg); husband Arnold; son Timothy; and nine siblings. She leaves to mourn her son Lester (Suzanne) and their four sons, Alan (Vanessa), Don (Sophie), Patrick and Denis; grandsons, Ed, Andrew, and Devan; daughter, Annette (Terry Lang) and their three daughters, Amanda, Crystal (Jason), and Rebecca (Eugene); as well as her great-grandchildren, Sylvie, Zavier, Nova, Oscar, Felix, Zoe, and Olivia. Elizabeth helped run an upholstery shop in Humboldt, SK, sewing 25 years. In 1980, Elizabeth and Arnold retired to Saskatoon and were snowbirds in Mesa for six months of the year. We want to thank her “Pioneer Village” Family for their exceptional care, thoughtfulness, and love. Flowers are most gratefully decline.
