We are saddened to announce that on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, Anthony 'Brian' Tuttosi, 62, took his last breath. Brian had been diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and passed due to complications from cancer. Brian's family was with him when he passed. Brian will be remembered by his family and friends for his humour, hard work and love of life. His courage in facing cancer exemplifies the quiet strength and resilience he carried with him throughout his lifelong journey.
Brian was born in Punnichy, SK on May 2, 1955 to the late Anton 'Tony' and Wilma (Daniels) Tuttosi. Brian spent his childhood at the family farm, tending to the livestock and the fields; the chores of living a farm life. In recent golden years he loved to go to the family farm. He waged a battle with local beavers to prevent flooding of the land he was clearing; he took great pride in winning.
Brian was the oldest of six children. His brother Doug Tuttosi now lives in Edmonton, AB. He made many memories with his late brother Ronald Tuttosi. He enjoyed spending time with his youngest brother Dean (Brenda) Tuttosi. He was proud of his sister Marilyn (Ray) Sandhoff and her drive. He adored his youngest sister Lori (Wes) Tuttosi and looked forward to their talks.
His siblings remember stories of their life together growing up on the family farm. Brian would encourage his siblings to 'box' with each other and they would always come out with a winner of each 'match'. Lori also remembers his softer side that would be there to lift her onto the school bus every day.
He loved sports. He played hockey, baseball and even some football. He had a passion for hockey though. He could be known to clear off the slough at the farm for the day just so he could skate and practice. Saturday was always known as hockey night on the TV in the family home; at his insistence!
When Brian was 18 years old he moved to Regina, SK where he began his first job as a labourer for Wascana Center.

He soon afterwards began his lifelong career as a hot tar roofer; many of roofing years were spent with Action Roofing. Brian took pride in being a hard worker and always giving it his all, right up until he could no longer work.
Brian had three children. His oldest Melody Arbour (Tong); he came into her life when he married her mother Norma, and was her loving father until his last breath. His son Anthony "Bear" Tuttosi; he saw himself in his son every day. He loved his youngest daughter Heather Tuttosi (Dustin) unconditionally. His children have many memories with him and his passion for sports, hard work, and taking pride in what you do.
He had eleven grandchildren; Alaysha, Vieng, Sangaloune, Anneleise, Maija, Aijdan, Tyra, Terrell, Emily, Charles 'C.J' and Christopher. He would speak fondly of the grandkids and always loved getting to spend time with them.
Brian was predeceased by his grandparents John and Helen Tuttosi and Joe and Caroline Daniels.
He loved his aunts and uncles and was grateful for the love they showed him: uncle Leonard (Vernita) Daniels, aunts Shirley Daniels and Grace (Gordon) Daniels as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Public Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Friends and family are invited to come together for a Celebration of Brian's Life at the Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 4:00 pm.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic both hospitals; Pasqua and General for their care, kindness and competence in Brian’s final days. Also to extend our most heartfelt thank you to Bert Adema from Indian Metis Christian Fellowship for providing guidance in a time of need and for providing services at Brian’s Celebration of Life.
