My condolences to the family. I remember fun Auntie Phyl, and also the many stories my gramma, Vera, told about her and their life. My favorite was when Phyl was living in Cranbrook during the war while Uncle Cec was in the military. They would go out every night for a walk after dinner. A snoopy neighbor warned that they would lose their husbands, going out like that all the time. My gramma thought he had nerve, thinking my grampa Alf would tell her she couldn’t go out for a walk, and part of the reason for the walk was so Phyl could mail a letter to Cec! Phyl lived a long life of caring and grace.
