Obituary of Eleanor Harle
ELEANOR HARLE
September 22, 1934 – January 28, 2018
Eleanor passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2018, in Regina, SK. She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Barbara Harle; brothers, John (Helen), Paul (Anne), Harold (Louise), and Edward; sisters, Anne (Henry) Wendel and Mary Adams; sisters-in-law, Alice Harle and Dorothy Harle; and her great-niece Brooklyn Johnston. Eleanor is survived by her brothers, Lorne and Ernest Harle; brother-in-law Dean Adams; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor worked as a receptionist at the Department of Health and was a resident of Pioneer Village. Her faith was always very important to her. Although she did not have children of her own, she was very close with her nieces and nephews. Eleanor had a great sense of humour and an infectious laugh. She loved to travel, whether that was going on cruises or road trips in her car. She drove into her early 60’s until a surgery on her hip and back took that pleasure away from her. However, her love of driving persisted until they turned down the speed on her wheelchair at Pioneer Village. Eleanor also loved watching baseball and all types of sports on TV. She was an avid fan of the Blue Jays. Eleanor recently attended a RoughRider game at the new Mosaic Stadium, which was a highlight for her. She was a collector of stuffed bears and slippers. Thank you to her special friends Marie and Jim Cummings, the staff at Pioneer Village on the first floor, the staff of 4A at the Pasqua Hospital, and Dr. Vermuelen for being a kind and compassionate advocate for Eleanor in her final days. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5020 7th Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
