Dear Betty and Family
I am very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He surely will be missed.
Having worked with Dave at the City of Regina some 40 years ago, I had nothing but admiration for him, his approach to life and his treatment of everyone that he came in contact with. Although he was diminutive in size he made up for it in the huge amount of respect that he commanded just by being himself and doing and saying the right thing. If I had to choose one person, other than my father, who had the greatest positive influence on my life it would most certainly be Dave. In fact I've tried to emulate him for the past 47 years. Your family has got to be very proud of his legacy.
Thank you Jeff, for bring your parents on that road trip through Melville, making it possible for me to reconnect with your dad, that was awesome.
Thank you Betty, for your hospitality, the coffee and of course that memorable visit with Dave at the kitchen table, I will cherish that time always.
