LAURA THOMPSON (CROTENKO)

(née DENCH)

April 19, 1951 – March 1, 2018

Laura passed away peacefully at the Wascana Grace Hospice at the age of 66 after a short illness, with her loving husband and daughters by her side. She was predeceased by her first husband Gerald Crotenko; her mother and father Nina and Edward Dench; and two brothers-in-law, George Moroz and Paul Matt. Laura will be remembered by her husband Wayne; daughters, Nicole (Trent) Rich and Ally Crotenko (Andrew Rogers); and her four beautiful grandchildren, Kendra, Kierra, and Kaden Rich and Tamika Bodnarek-Anakaer, whom she cherished dearly. She is also survived by her sisters, Eileen Moroz, June Matt and Jean (Brian) Huber; nephews, Kelly Moroz and Mike (Renee) Matt; nieces, Shauna Matt and Courtney (Rocky) Sodergren; great-niece and nephew Claire and Daniel Sodergren; as well as her step family and extended family. Laura was born April 19, 1951 and lived in Regina, SK until she met her love Wayne, and retired to Cadillac, SK. She had a passion for travel, but most of all found true happiness spending time with her grandchildren. Laura worked at SaskEnergy for her entire caree, until she retired in December 2015. The family wishes to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Laura may be made to Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
