Obituary of Daniel Elwood Goldstone

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Daniel Elwood Goldstone of Regina, SK, on Monday, March 12, 2018. Predeceased by parents, Albert and Eula Goldstone; brothers, Lyle and Larry Goldstone; sister, Wanda Bowles; brother-in-law, Wendyl Lund; and father-in-law, Murray Yurkiw, Dan is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Shannon Goldstone (Yurkiw); his daughter, Sherrie Lewis; son, Jamie (Nadine) Goldstone; son-in-law, Donavon Wormsbecker; grandchildren, Matthew Williams (Cassity), Kale Lewis (Annalise), Jessica Lewis (Kashton), Brayden Ealey, Jacob and Nickson Goldstone. He is also survived by his sister, Beryl Lund; sister-in-law, Linda Goldstone; Marney and David Oshaway, Maureen Yurkiw and Larry Pheiffer, Zoria Moen, and Marlis Yurkiw; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He will also be greatly missed by his puppies, Maggie and Juji. It gives the family comfort to know that he will be reunited with his many other beloved pets in Heaven. Dan’s heart was happiest with his family, both his people and his four legged families. Whether he was reading with a fur baby on his lap, camping, travelling or helping out someone in need, you knew he was doing what made him happy…spending time with those he loved. Dan’s love for his grandchildren was second to none and they will always be grateful for the time they got to spend with their Grandpa camping and making memories. Dan was very proud of his career at Wappel Construction where he had over 30 years with the company. His dedication and work ethic along with his witty banter made him a great co-worker to those who were lucky enough to work alongside him. Memorial Service will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at a later date.
