Obituary of Thomas Allan Brown

Tom, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. He was predeceased by his first wife Julia Brown; second wife Louise Brown; son Donald Brown; parents, Mabel and Richard Brown; and siblings, Geraldine, Madelene, Norah, and Eileen. Tom is survived by his children, Lynne Brown (Tammy Sawa), Dean Brown, and Shelley Brown; and long-time partner Gloria Hegge. He was born on June 26, 1936 in Cupar, SK. Tom worked for the Regina Fire Department and was an entrepreneur, building houses, owning rental properties, and being a property manager. In 2016, he ran for mayor. Tom committed himself to helping the community, through his work with Habitat for Humanity and several community organizations helping people in need. One of Tom’s Loves was watching horse racing and was very supportive of Shelley’s Horse Racing Career. He also loved spending winters in Florida, where he could enjoy the beautiful weather as well as the horses. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Donations in memory of Tom may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
