Obituary of Cameron Murray Conway

The passing of Cameron Conway occurred suddenly on the morning of Tuesday, May 15, 2018.  Cameron was born at the British Military Hospital in Iserlohn, Germany on December 18, 1955. His father was stationed with the Canadian Armed Forces in Germany at the time. In December of 1957, he returned to Canada with his parents. Cameron received most of his education in Saskatoon. After graduating High School, he received a Steam Engineering Certificate from SIAST. After working in that field for several years, he returned to SIAST this time in Moose Jaw and received an Accounting Diploma. He met his wife, Trudy, while he was attending SIAST in Saskatoon. They were married on February 16, 1985, at the Mayfair United Church in Saskatoon.  Upon the completion of his accounting course in Moose Jaw, Cameron and Trudy moved to Edmonton. After three years there, they moved to Pense and eventually settled in Regina. Cameron was a movie buff especially enjoying Classic Movies.  He could remember where he saw each of these movies for the first time. He also enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. His nephew recalled a hunting trip that Cameron took him on where he “pushed a lot of bush” but didn’t get anything. Cameron was an avid fan of lacrosse and enjoyed keeping track of his other nephew’s game statistics and proudly wore his nephew’s team gear. As the family historian, he also took an interest in another nephew’s time in the Armed Forces. In the most recent years, Cameron enjoyed semi-annual road trips to Montana. He was predeceased by his father, William Conway; his mother, Verna Conway; his stepfather, Charlie Fox; and his nephew, Nathan Likness. Cameron is survived by his wife, Trudy; his brother, Kim (Donna, Chris, Cory);  sisters, Vanda Conway (Sara Likness) and Patricia Conway (Brent Dumonceaux); and brothers-in-law, Brian (Cathy) Kimble and Ross (Charlotte, Ethan, and Colby) Kimble.  A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Cameron’s name may be made to the Arthritis Society, 110-2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 3X1. To
