Gwendolyn passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Cypress House in Swift Current, SK at the age of 88 years. She was born on December 7, 1929 in Toronto, ON to James and Eliza Jane Reid. Gwen grew up in Toronto, ON. She had eight siblings, Robert, James, Madge, Minty, Molly, Ina, Sue, and George. Gwen worked as a bank teller in Toronto until her marriage in 1952 to Robert John Ross Corrigan. They moved to Weyburn, SK, where they raised their family. Gwen had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to share a good laugh. She shared her joy of cooking and hosted many gatherings for friends and family. Gwen had a beautiful singing voice and her children and grandchildren always enjoyed asking for a song. She was an avid golfer and curler. Gwen loved fashion, and was always dressed to the nines. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, and going out for fancy dinners. Gwen is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert; their children, Danah, Rhonda (Ken), Pamela (Shahid), and John (Andrea); grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlan, Jillian (Steven), Michelle (Adam), David, Nicole, Michael, Erin, and Megan; and great-grandchildren, Shea and Sheldon. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Cypress House, Swift Current, for their support in her final days.
