Obituary of Winford Anthony Nairne

NAIRNE, Winford

Winford passed away peacefully on Friday, June 1, 2018. He was born December 30, 1947 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. In 1960, the family moved to London, England. Winford was a world traveler. He then made Canada his home. Winford was the son of the late Vivian and Ethel Nairne. Winford was the oldest of five children, and attended Elmwood Elementary. He then graduated from Kingsdale High school. At an early age, Winford became a Seventh-Day Adventist Church member. He started his apprenticeship as a car mechanics and work his up diesel. Winford also loved to play the saxophone. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother Glenford Nairne. Winford is survived by his sisters, Vanderlyn Trevis of London, England, Beverly Nairne of Spain, Caroline Nairne Lamb of Michigan, USA; sister-in-law Gertrud of Sweden; as well as aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
