Obituary of Bernadette Catherine Ziegler

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernadette Catherine Ziegler at the age of 67 years on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Bernadette will be forever remembered by her husband, Ronald; daughters Tara (Jason) Edmands and Keri Ziegler; her precious grandchildren Dylan and Alexa Edmands and Maxwell McFadden, whom she adored; her mother, Clara Breker;  brother Leon (Donna) Breker; as well as many brothers and sisters in-law; and nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father Bernard Breker; and brothers Gordon Breker and Marvin Breker. Bernadette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed helping Ron, Tara and Keri and the grandchildren in any way she could.  Bernadette and Ron lived in Regina all their life, and enjoyed spending summers at the lake, holidays in Maui and winters in Arizona.  She always made sure everything was kept up in every way possible and never quit until the yard was looked after and everything in the house was made to be perfect.  She started her working years at SGI and continued in management positions until she decided to pursue a career in Real Estate.  After a successful career and once her daughters were grown, she continued her entrepreneurial pursuits and owned “Basket Cases” in Regina until her official retirement.   Once retired, Berna continued to enjoy her life time passion of fixing and renovating wherever the opportunity arose, always looking for ways to improve her house, cottage and yards.  There was always a project in the works.  We would like to thank Dr. Mike Moser and his team in Saskatoon, and the nurses in 3A Palliative Care, Pasqua Hospital in Regina for their exceptional and compassionate care. Funeral Mass will be held at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, SK, on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernadette’s name to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7 as she always had a soft spot in her heart for dogs.
