SAWA, Eileen

Eileen Sawa, (parents Louis and Emily) late of Regina SK, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Born on the family farm near Fenwood SK on January 10, 1937, Eileen attended Dawn School until Grade 8, and then took her High School in Melville, SK. She attended Business College at Central High School in Melville. In 1955 Eileen came to Regina to obtain employment, finding it at the Dept. of Health for 7 years. She then went to Winnipeg where she was employed at the Dept. of Health and Education for 33 years. Eileen loved to travel and visited many European countries, but loved Australia and New Zealand the best. She retired to Regina in 1995 because of health problems. In 2015 she moved into McMurchy Care home. Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament, 2049 Scarth Street, Regina, SK on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Henry’s Cemetery, Melville, SK. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make donations in memory of Eileen, to the charity of one’s choice.
