Obituary of Ted Gordon Riddell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ted on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the age of 89. He was born on March 27, 1929 in Loomis, SK. Ted is lovingly known as Gido, dad, Teddy, Teddy Bear, uncle, and friend. He was predeceased by his parents Christine Reed Ledingham Riddell and Harry Hood Riddell; wife Sophie (nee Bzdel); and siblings, Bob, Ed, Al, Edith, Evie, Chris, and Dora. He was the last of the Riddell clan. Ted leaves to mourn his children, daughter Sharon Marie; son Keith (Sharon); grandchildren, Keisha (Matt) and Kevin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was one of the founding members of St. Athanasius Byzantine-Ukrainian Catholic Church, St. Athanasius Senior Club, A & B Bowling and St. A’s Bingo. He was also an alumni of Bishop Budka Knights of Columbus where he received several awards for his service. Ted loved to travel, fish and spend quality time with his children and grandchildren, especially at the lake.  May we always treasure those moments spent with him. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Athanasius Byzantine-Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Avenue, Regina, SK, on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
