Obituary of Alex Max Ostoforoff

December 31, 1936 – July 21, 2018
Alex was born on a farm near the town of Blaine Lake, SK and was attended by Dr. Batanoff and Mary Rebin.
He died of natural causes on Saturday, July 21, 2018.
Alex was active in sports at his home town of Blaine Lake and at the University of Saskatchewan at Saskatoon, SK. He worked as a civil servant for the Government of Saskatchewan all his life, until retirement. Alex was also an avid coin collector.
Alex was predeceased by his parents Max and Annie Ostoforoff, his grandparents George Ostoforoff and Nastia Rebalkin, Alex W. Postnikoff and Mary Rebin, his aunt Annie Hufnagel and his uncles, Alex Foster, Bill Postnikoff, and Alex A. Postnikoff.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn and her son Benjamin Gelinas (Madeline), his sister Elaine Thurlow (Stu) and their children, Trevor and Larissa, his children Colleen Ostoforoff and Rhonda Toth, and his grandchild Lukas Toth and Lukas’s dad Andy.
There will be no body viewing or funeral. He will be cremated. His ashes will be scattered at a later date near the “Big Tree”, which is near the former Laird Ferry crossing across the North Saskatchewan River.
