Obituary of Elsie Isabel Neuman

Mom passed away peacefully on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Mom is survived by her loving children, George (Sharon) of Calgary, Coralie (Rick) of Regina, Louis of Edmonton, Joan Colombier of Vendome, France, Peter of Burnaby, Julie (Atilla) Laszlo of Regina, and Mary of Regina; loving grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Palmer of Vancouver, Nicole Neuman of Calgary, John (Alison) Neuman of Kelowna, Melissa (Darcy) Porter of Regina, Justin Laszlo of Regina, Kristin Laszlo of Kelowna, Brittni Laszlo of Lake Country, Tyler Neuman of Regina, Adam Neuman of Kanata, Maximien Colombier and Amber Colombier both of Vendome, France; loving great-grandchildren, Jackson & Felicity Porter, Benjamin & Nicolas Palmer, Hayden & Tegan Neuman, Zofia & Georgia Dyck; also Sharon’s children, Jason (Marietta) and family of Calgary, Dannen (Cindy) and family of Youngstown, Megan (Mike) and family of Calgary. She also leaves to mourn her sister-in-law Dorothy; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families and numerous friends. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Julius in 1995; two sons, Bill in 1967 and Michael in 1989; two grandsons, Christopher in 1992 and Clotaire in 2015; her brother Jim Dale in 2015; her parents, Oliver and Jean Dale; and numerous Neuman family members.

Mom will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was always so carefree and accepted everyone as who they were. She had many friends at the Renaissance Retirement Home where she lived for a number of years. Mom had just recently moved into Revera Retirement Living and to no one’s surprise, in the very short time she was there she was already loved by the staff. Mom adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren they always brightened her day. She was passionate about her football, loved her Riders. Mom enjoyed watching curling, especially watching the men play. She also liked to knit and play crib.Mom really enjoyed her morning coffee and toast at Western Pizza downtown on 11th Ave and Cornwall where she made good friends with the folks there. We will all miss her daily Facebook posts, they always brightened our day and put a smile on our faces.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of mom be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation of Saskatchewan; Saskatchewan Cancer Society; or Canadian Mental Health Association.
