Marion Tysowski

Obituary of Marion Tysowski

It is with much sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marion Tysowski, late of Regina, SK on Monday, September 3, 2018. Mom was born February 1, 1942 in Liverpool, England. Mom grew up in England until the age of 30 when she came to Winnipeg, MB on holidays and just never went home to stay. Mom met my dad Denis Tysowski in 1972 and they had their favourite daughter Lee in 1974. Mom mainly stayed home with me until I was 12. Mom started working full-time at Workers Compensation Board where she learned how to swear. She retired in 2006. Throughout mom’s life she volunteered with lots of organizations and EVERY school trip I went on in elementary school. Her most recent stints as a volunteer were with Souls Harbour and Argyle Park Community Centre. Growing up, mom loved to garden, she could keep any plant alive - she did not pass that gift onto me. Mom loved her fur babies Pippin and Teddy, reading, playing her word games, travel, having coffee with friends, spending time with her family, and her most famous “Nana naps”. Mom has been reunited with her Dad Harry Holmes; Mum Gladys Holmes (Stockley); her best friend and sister Joan Cope; and nephew Ross Cope. Mom sadly leaves behind daughter Lee Tysowski (Tyson Maierhoffer); my dad Denis; Mom’s favourite grandson Kade Tysowski (Jessica Fraser); fur babies Pippin/Teddy; brother Harry Holmes; sister Dorothy Price; numerous nieces, nephews and their families; and her many friends near and far. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel,  2136 College Avenue, Regina SK on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Lunch to follow and everyone is welcome. In lieu of flowers, Mom would love if you supported her biker friends B.A.C.A (Bikers Against Child Abuse), Box 31005 Normanview PO, Regina, SK, S4R 8R6. Mom leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness having touched us all with her sassiness and caring ways. Good Night, Sweet Dreams. We love you xo.
