Obituary of George Lichtenwald

George Lichtenwald, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the age of 92 years.  He was predeceased by parents Jack and Rose Lichtenwald; brother Wilfred; his wife Janette; and his son Lorne Lichtenwald.  George is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Kathleen; brother Joe and his wife Eleanor; daughter-in-law Linda (wife of Lorne), their son Chris and his children Cole and Jaedyn their daughter Kylie and her husband Dustin Braaten and their children Landon, Dakota and Caila; son Dale and his wife Maureen and their sons Kyle and Curtis; son Rick and his wife Shelley and their children Kaitlin and Cameron; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. George loved to play cards and watch the Blue Jays.  He hated losing in both games.  He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at the Pasqua Hospital and Grace Hospice. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2026 Winnipeg St., Regina, SK on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.   In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George may be made to Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK, S4R 8P6 or the charity of your choice.
