FISCHER, Edward T. “Sod”

Edward “Sod” passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the age of 81 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Mary; and two sisters, Peggy Fischer and June Hughs. Sod is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carol; son Gerry (Candace) and their son Jack; two sisters, Vernell (Walter) Freybe and Shirley (Bob) Gordon; two brothers, Clarence (Edna) and Vern (Shirley Ann); brother-in-law Hilton Hughs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sod worked for SaskTel for 36 years and SaskTel International in Africa for 2 more. His passions were his love for family, curling, watching his grandson’s sports, and spending time at the lake and down south. Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Please meet inside cemetery gate. Reception to follow at the Royal Regina Golf Club, 5401 11th Avenue West, Regina, SK at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edward may be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 8^th Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5.
