Obituary of Leslie Howard Schoenthaler

Leslie Schoenthaler, late of Frankslake, SK, passed on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Regina General Hospital. Les spent all his working career employed by Con Force Structures. He worked for them for 50 years retiring in 2014. Les loved the land. He farmed six quarters of land and worked as well. He sold some and farmed the rest himself right to the end. The summers were spent camping and fishing, both which he loved dearly. Family and friends were very important and came first in his life. We had a very amazing Thanksgiving this year with all the family. Les was predeceased by his parents, William and Marie (Hodel) Schoenthaler; brother, Murray; brother-in-law, Jim Barker; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Owen and Edna (Ganong) Gibney. Les is survived by his loving wife, Wendy who was his companion and best friend; son, Dale (Sheryl); daughter, Rhonda (Greg), children, Nathan and Tamara; daughter, Melanie (Dan), children, Ava and Mya. Also survived by his sister, Donna; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Funeral Service will be held  at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Donations in memory of Leslie may be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, 200-4545 Parliament Ave, Regina, SK S4W 0G3 or to a charity of one’s choice.
