Obituary of Marie Alberta Fodey

FODEY, Marie Alberta

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Alberta Fodey on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. She was born in 1927 in Kentville, Nova Scotia, where she met and married Gordon Emmett Fodey. Marie was skilled at sewing, painting, and gardening. She also enjoyed curling, bowling, golfing, reading, and travelling. Marie and Emmett entertained at house parties with their lovely singing and harmonies. She was predeceased by her husband Emmett in 1966; grandson Lane in 1986; and son Michael in 2013. Marie is survived by her daughter Nancy Butler (Vancouver); and daughter-in-law Dolores Fodey (Regina). A Graveside Gathering will be held in Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Please meet inside cemetery gates. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marie may be made to the ALS Society of Saskatchewan, 2430 8^th Avenue, Unit C, Regina, SK S4R 5E3.
