Obituary of Anne Muriel Wilson
Anne, late of Regina, SK passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 28, 2018 after an eight year struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born to Nellie and Duff Moore on September 30, 1928 in Wainwright, AB. Anne is survived by her spouse of 57 years, Lewis Wilson; children, Beverly (Greg) Burns, their children, Sarah and Thomas of Regina, SK, Harvey (Val) Eastman, their son, Shawn Eastman of Balfour, BC, Garnet Eastman of Red Deer, AB , and Lynda Ling of Osoyoos, BC; sister Marjorie Gouin, her children, Pat Gouin, Rob (Myrna) Gouin and Lorraine (Ron) Gilbert. Anne grew up in the Paradise Valley/Wainwright, Alberta area. She spent her early adulthood in BC and Alberta moving to Bethune, SK in 1976. She and Lew co-owned and operated several small businesses over the years. She was, witty and clever, calm and independent, a hard worker; and always kept busy with her many interests – collecting rocks, crocheting, knitting, quilting, gardening, watercolour painting, and travelling, to name a few. Anne deeply loved her grandchildren. A special thank you to the staff of Extendicare Elmview for the expert care and kindness given to Anne during the last 4 1/2 years.
A Celebration of Anne’s Life will be held at the Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina SK, on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anne’s name to the Elmview Resident and Family Support Group Inc., 1334 Wascana Highlands, Regina, SK, S4V 2J9.
