Obituary of John Joseph Beingessner
BEINGESSNER, John Joseph
June 3, 1935 – November 1, 2018
John passed away tragically on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the age of 83. He was born on June 3, 1935 in Rouleau, SK. John married Janice in 1959 and together they raised a family of five on their farm near Truax, SK.
Johnny was passionate about farming and a fixer of everything. He said it gave him a great feeling of accomplishment to take something that someone else had thrown away as junk and to fix it up and make it usable again. Which went hand in hand with his love for garage-saling. Johnny could NOT pass up a bargain and was very good at negotiating down a price. He also loved planting things and watching them grow. Johnny especially loved harvest and seeing the fruits of his labour. After leaving the farm and moving to the city, he tended to his small garden patch, always making sure to have an abundance of tomato plants. Johnny will be remembered for his strong character, big heart, for being an avid community member, a great neighbor, a hard worker, and someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
John was predeceased by his mother and father, Elizabeth and Joseph; brothers and sisters, Ed (Doretta), Herb, Mary (Gordon), Florence, Eugene, and Raymond (Eveline).
Left to cherish John’s memory is his loving wife of 59.5 wonderful years, Janice; his five children: Dale (Carol), Darlene (Albert), James (Geri), Eric (Conni), and Melinda (Darwyn). He was so very proud of his grandchildren: Evan (Gina), Colin, Todd (Sarah), Kayla, Levi, Niki, Jessica, Carson, Jonah, and Colby; and above all his greatest blessings were his great-grandchildren: Kara, Taylor, Jaylin, Nason, Lenix, Jonathan, Amelia, Kaalyn, and Parker. John also leaves behind his brothers and sisters: Sabine (Henry), Richard (Cecilia), Albert (Alma), and Don (Diane); sisters-in-law, Agnes and Anna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
