My condolences to all. I had many good times with Barry during his time driving the school bus. He always seemed to have a smile and a friendly good-morning even during bad weather and poor roads. Barry was one of my 3 references when I applied to join the military and I'll always be grateful for his support. Mark

My family's condolences to all of Barry's family, his passing is a great loss and one fine man will be missed. I remember him as a kind and generous person, as you said in the obituary his character was one that wanted to make others happy, what a wonderful characteristic to have. I know my parents, Neal and Edna, appreciated your Dad very much and thought of him in high regard. From reading all the posts online about your Dad and his days driving that school bus he had such a positive impact on many many children in Truax and Avonlea. Once again I feel for you in this time of grieving but find satisfaction and peace in your memories of your Dad and contentment in knowing he was well loved.

I will miss Barry, although we lost touch many years ago I fondly remember working for him in the summer in the mid sixties and later when I taught school in Avonlea. He did come to visit with my father one year while I was in Fort St John, BC, but sadly, after that we lost touch. Goodbye Barry, the crop is in, take a break.

I have many fond memories of Uncle Barry, loved when he would bring Janice in to play with us and share a meal. His humor, telling me racy jokes at Auntie Olives funeral, his laugh I will never forget. Then in later years, I used to kid him about turning his plants, cause his sister gave him what for cause he hadn't:) Thinking of all of you...hugs
