Obituary of Joanne Deck

Joanne Deck (née Schlosser), late of Melville, SK, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the age of 54 years. In her final moments she was surrounded by those who loved her and by the love of all those who knew her. Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Vern and Margaret and her brother Guy. She is survived by her children, Adrian, Kylee, and Devin; her granddaughter Nevaeh; her sister Judy (Tim), her brother Dean, and sister-in-law Cindy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and Rick Cowan and his family. Special mention is also due to her parrot Pablo, “Love you Jo”.

Joanne was truly an indescribable soul. The kind of person you meet once in a lifetime. She loved people and reached out to them openly and without judgement. Much of Joanne’s life was dedicated to her children and their friends, her support for them was endless. Her granddaughter Nevaeh held a special place in her heart and the times they spent together were precious. Joanne always made friends easily, even when she was young. She was a loyal friend with an outgoing, fun-loving and infectious personality. She was known to have a blonde moment now and again, which she was always able to laugh about. Joanne will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her and she will be missed more than anybody could possibly imagine.

Memorial Gathering to honour Joanne’s life will be held at the Balgonie Multiplex Hall, Balgonie, SK on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. A reception with light lunch and a cash bar will follow.
