Obituary of Valerie Mabel Turner

SEPTEMBER 24, 1938 – NOVEMBER 13, 2018

It is with sorrow and blessings that we announce the loss of our beautiful mother, friend, companion, mentor and inspiration.  Valerie Turner (nee Haslett), passed away not alone, but in the company of love at her side on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the age of 80 years. She was caring, comforting, gentle and warm; forever a touch of humor. Valerie was predeceased by her wonderful parents Fred and Josephine (Josie) Haslett; siblings, Helen (Bob Hiedt), Arthur (Sylvia) and Mona (Jack Webber); and dearly missed and cherished companion Norman Granger. She will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her children, Joanne Thompson, Dale (April), Scott (Loretta), Glen (Terry) and their father John Wesley Turner; grandchildren, Derek (Michelle) Thompson and Siobnann; great grandchildren Avery and Carson Thompson; numerous nieces and nephews, least not to mention Jennifer, Jill and Joan; and extended family Glenn (Jane) Granger and children. Our loss is deep and yet we give thanks to you mom!  Your spirit, hope and dreams remain alive. Memorial gathering will be held at the Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK, on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with a program beginning at 2:30 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
