Pauline passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert; parents, Arthur and Jean Matthews; daughter, Susan Poulin; son-in-law, Lorne Rygh; sister, Madeline; and brother-in-law, Ronald Smith. Pauline is survived by her children Roberta Rygh, Janice Lederman (Karen Busby), Mark Sylvestre (Carolyn Juckes), and David Sylvestre (C.K. Pauline was born on the family farm close to Melaval, SK on October 8, 1927. She married Robert Bernard Sylvestre on August 24, 1948 and as their family grew they called Moose Jaw, Assiniboia, Regina and Kenosee Lake home, escaping the winters later in life to Brownsville, Texas. Pauline excelled at many roles: lab technician, real estate agent, household manager, golfer and curler, in addition to wife, aunt, mother and grandmother. Pauline was a spirited soul, was kind, full of humour, and loved dearly. She especially enjoyed spending quality time at the cabin at Kenosee Lake and always made it fun for those around her. We would like to thank the staff at Santa Maria Senior Citizens’ Home for their care. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel at Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, 4215 Regina Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pauline’s name to the Santa Maria Foundation Inc.
