Mick was my favorite referee to watch I think the best compliment and comment I read was he was the Eddie Shack of NHL officials he was colorful fun to watch ...as a former USA Hockey official myself he will be missed because I know how hard that job can be and he had the temperament to do it I'm sorry for your loss I'm sure he's calling penalties in heaven God bless

What a lovely tribute to Mr. Mick! I love the part about his head LOL! Angie and family, you have so many people loving you and supporting you. . .my only hope is that we are able to ease even a little bit of the hurt. This man will live on strong in all of our hearts, how could we possibly forget this guy? Please don't hesitate to draw on us when you need some extra strength, not an easy road ahead, but there are many of us waiting in the wings to catch you should you fall, even a little bit. Love you all, and am so so sorry that you have to go through this terrible loss. Always, always here for you,

Thoughts and prayers go out to the McGeough family on the loss of Mick. I grew up with Mick and paths crossed several times with kids and sports over the years. Mick always had a presence about him that made you feel comfortable and in charge. He is gone way too soon. R.I..P. Mick

To the McGeough family....Words cannot express my thoughts to all of you. I am so heartbroken for the loss of Mick. Met him in about 1976 and have been a friend forever. Mick was more than a brother in my mind. Believe I might have been the one to way back when to tell him to quit Kraft Foods and go into refereeing. I am so proud of him for what he accomplished. I went to hockey games and cheered for him, not the hockey teams.
Mick was one of a kind. A friend to everyone.
Mick...will never forget you.
Always remember the joy that he brought to all of you and the world.

Remember as you mourn, tears that fall are droplets of love send to the heavens.

My relationship with Mick was not hockey related. As a past YMCA member, Mick and I had some good BS sessions in the steam room. He had a great personality and charisma, I admired that he was a good family man. I’m sorry for your loss to your family also brothers Timmy and Jimmy.
Cheers
Sully
