Obituary of Madeline Ozga

Madeline passed away peacefully on Friday, December 14, 2018, at the age of 96 years. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph; daughter Janet; and eleven brothers and sisters. Madeline is survived by her son Donald (Fiona); daughter Marilyn (Jerry); grandchildren, Mark, Vincent, Lynette, Timothy, and Jeffrey; sister Irene Curtis (Glenn); brother Ernie; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to thank Linda and Stewart Bellamy for the 40 years of love and support they gave Madeline. Mom was born into a large family of fourteen siblings, on a farm near Wymark, SK. She married Joseph Ozga in 1944. Their marriage lasted 65 years, until his death in 2013. Always brave, Mom continued to drive and be independent until she was 94 years old. She was independent, loved her kids, and always made the best of her life. The family would like to thank Janet and the staff of Extendicare Parkside, south wing, for their care of mom over the last two years- she thought all of you were the best. Per mom’s wishes, a private memorial will be held at Riverside Memorial Park on Friday, December 21, 2018.
