This is one of the most beautiful, well written obituaries I have ever read. Your mom was an amazing woman. Alice phoned mom & dad (George & Edith Okell) regularly. When she couldn’t reach them she called me. She knew something was wrong when dad never answered the phone for weeks. He was in Melfort hospital. I so enjoyed our long conversations on many topics. One particular time Alice enlightened me about her and mom being bridesmaid for Helen Sinclair. Thus explaining their trip together to celebrate Helen & Edwards 50th I believe. She was such a special lady... sympathies to all of you.

To Alice's family: we were saddened to learn of your Mom's passing. What a vibrant person your Mom was. Our Mom (Alice Traynor) met Alice through those early years at the Scandinavian Club and the two became good friends. They had great fun together; volunteering and working hard at the Scandinavian Mosaic pavilion and beyond. Alice was a loyal, kind and honest friend.
