Pearl was born on the farm at Ogema on November 13, 1924. She attended Ogema School and graduated in 1942. Pearl’s family farmed in the Ogema area. She was born into a very musical family and many hours were spent singing and taking turns playing the piano, guitar, and violin. Pearl married Ed Howe in 1946, they raised three sons while living in the Viceroy, Bengough and Ogema area. She loved playing with the Adelle and Big Butte baseball teams. After several years, Pearl and Ed moved to Regina where they worked for Regina Housing Authority. When they retired in 1988, they were able to spend time doing what they loved - camping, playing music, and spending time with their family. They were so involved with their music and were able to start the "Country Shadows" Band, entertaining at dances, senior homes and jam sessions. Pearl enjoyed watching the Bluejays, the Riders, curling and Saturday Night Dance Party and faithfully listened to the Flea Market and the Sunday Morning Request Line.
