FLEMING, Kathleen Ann

1938 – 2019

Kathleen passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. She is survived by her husband Don; her daughter Michele Glaze and son Scott Fleming; along with her grandchildren, Andrew and Shelby Glaze, Tyler, Carson and Eric Fleming; sisters-in-law, Judith (Lloyd Searcy) Fleming and Barb (Ashley) Long; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Laura Stone; brothers, Irvan, Richard (Pearl), and Buddy; sisters, Ione (Harry), Doris (Bob), Donna (Jack), and Betty (Walter); niece Lisa Duncan; and nephews, Brian Savage, Allan Savage, and Ian Sadler. Kathleen was born in Moose Jaw, SK and raised in Regina, SK. She joined the Air Force following high school, becoming a Radar Operator at CFB Val d’Or, PQ for ten years. Kathleen went on to marry Don and lived in Outlook, SK for five years before settling in Kipling, SK, where she would live for the remainder of her life. An avid traveller, Kathleen enjoyed visiting her sister Donna around the world, travelling throughout Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Ultimately her favourite place to visit was Maui, where she travelled severaltimes and always loved sitting on the lanai at sunset, mai tai in hand. Kathleen’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, and through the years enjoyed attending various sporting and performance events that they were a part of. In recent years, she enjoyed friends and family, time at the casino, and playing bridge weekly at the Friendship Centre. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Those wishing to do so may make memorial donations in Kathleen’s name to the Kipling Friendship Centre, General Delivery, Kipling, SK, S0G 2S0.
