Obituary of Mildred Eleanor Thomas
THOMAS, Mildred Eleanor
Mildred passed away peacefully on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the age of 98 years. She was born July 19, 1920 in Watrous, SK to Samuel and Margaret Treble. Mildred was raised on a farm north of Manitou Lake near Watrous. In 1941, she married Roy Thomas, and they had one son Greg. As the wife of a returning veteran, student, and teacher, they lived in Winnipeg, Drake, Saskatoon, Simpson, Lethbridge, Abernethy, and Regina. When Roy retired they spent their winters in Mesa, Arizona with friends enjoying the sunshine and playing bridge. When Roy passed away in 1990, Mildred continued to spend a number of winters in Arizona. She lived in her own home until her death. Mildred was predeceased by her parents; husband Roy; sisters, Gertrude Somolinko, Edith Trenholm; brother Elmer Treble; and daughter-in-law Terry Lynn Thomas. She is survived by her son Greg; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends made over the years. Memorial Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Chapel, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mildred may be made to the Regina Humane Society, P.O.
