Obituary of Thelma Joyce Foord

FOORD, Thelma Joyce (Monette) (Myers)

August 5, 1924 – January 22, 2019

It is with hearts full of love that we say good-bye to our beautiful mom, grandma, and great-grandma Thelma. She loved her family dearly and she always treasured good times spent together. Thelma’s memory will be cherished by daughters, Sherry Monette (Art McMillan) and Candy (Bernie) Selinger; grandchildren, Kristen Monette (René Gobéil), Terry Selinger, Amy (Shawn) Sanville, Mark (Danielle) Selinger, and Paul (Mandy) Selinger; and great-grandchildren, Zech, Charlotte, Noah, Dylan, Zevi, Adelynn, and Gabby. Many wonderful people helped care for our Mom, and she loved them all. Thanks to the staffs from Robinson Care Home, Highland Park Care Home, Wascana Grace Hospice, and William Booth Special Care Home for all of your kindness and compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Blignaut, who took such excellent care of Mom for many years, and to Dr. Lotz, who cared for her at William Booth. Also thanks to Major Sharon, chaplain at William Booth, who cared for Mom's spiritual needs. We are forever grateful to all of you. At Mom's request there will be a family interment. Donations in Thelma's memory may be made to the William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
