Jim and I are sorry for your loss. Although we haven't kept in touch with Shirley Ann over the years I have fond memories of time spent with her in Vancouver when she was visiting us with her Mom and Dad. We had some great times together. Wendy Cowley

Shirley's outgoing personality, sense of humour and her laughter will be sadly missed at the Golden Sunset Club where I first met her and Bob. It was only three years ago but Shirley made it seem like I had known her forever as she happily included everyone in her world. She was warm and inviting and quick with a joke and also most accepting of the many "short" jokes that came her way.
I am so sorry that she was taken so early, it does not seem fair. My heartfelt sympathies to Bob, and to Shirley's family.

I met Shirley 4 years ago when we became neighbours in Pilot Butte. The first time we met I was walking my dogs by her place and her dogs were barking away. Shirley was outside and asked what kind of dogs mine were and we talked for a while. I knew after talking with Shirley that I had a neighbour you could count on if you needed anything.
I did some volunteer work with Shirley at the Pilot Butte Rodeo and she always brought a smile to everyone’s face with her humour and quick wit during a conversation.
My wife and I had a yard sale for 4 days and Shirley would come over each day to chat and to see if their was anything she could bring back home for the yard that her and Bob were so proud of.
I will miss our chats.
“Thanks for all the smiles Shirley and being a great neighbour.”

Mom, I miss you more than words can say. You were the first person to hold me, hug me and kiss me.That will be a bond that will never be replaced or forgotten, and a special love only a mother and daughter can have. You taught me to be kind and caring, to take chances, be strong, share, be compassionate and to have fun. I will always remember your smile and your laugh and all of the fun that we your daughters had with you. I know heaven needed you more. Time will pass slowly for me but I know you will always be there watching and supporting your daughters. I have comfort in knowing we will meet again.
Love you mom.
