Obituary of Freddrika Walburga Hubich

 Fredda, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her husband E.W. (Bill) Hubich in 1980; parents John and Katherine Klein; sister Martha Belsher; and son-in-law Ken Lamb.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Diana, Larry (Fran), Kathy, and Glenn; grandchildren, Dillon (Chiaki), Clayton (Angela), Becki (Tom), Tara (Michael), Erin (Jaco), and Ryan; great grandchildren, Momo, Lynne, Anna, Brahm, Frankie; sisters, Helen, Beatrice, Rose (Ian), Agnes (Wayne); brothers John (Phyllis), and  Dennis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Fredda was an avid card player right up until her passing. She was a music lover herself singing, playing accordion and keyboard. In her younger years she taught 4H, curled every winter and golfed every summer. Curling was her favourite sport to watch on T.V. Born and raised on the family farm N.W. of Glentworth, SK, she moved to Regina where she met her husband Bill. They married in 1950 and lived in various small towns in southern Saskatchewan, finally residing back in Regina in 1975. Fredda was a loving mother and grandmother raising four children and always happy to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved hosting family at Christmas time and other special occasions and was a great cook. She made many friends wherever she lived, and was a kind and gentle soul. A Celebration of Fredda’s Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Friday, February 1, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.
