Our sincere condolences to all of you. I know my mom and dad (Gordon and Joyce Leonard) had many enjoyable meals out and visits with your mom and dad, and they were so good to Dad after Mom died. I know Dad was the recipient of some of your mom's great cooking, and also received the Leader Post every morning from your dad during their morning visits. To the whole Bill family. I remember your mom well, such a devoted church member. For some reason I also remember that at some period of her life she fasted for one day a week. Our mothers with their big families are to be honoured & treasured. They had a tremendous amount of work, that they carried on with no complaint. We were back yard neighbours of the Bill family on Perry Crescent for many years. Lil was my go to lady for recipes and child raising advice. Her garden and home made bread and buns were admired by many who knew her. Her well raised children babysat for us. I remember Lil walking across town daily to visit her mother in the nursing home.
