Obituary of Bertha Elizabeth Labash

NOVEMBER 26, 1923 – FEBRUARY 9, 2019

On Saturday, February 9, 2019 Bertha Labash, beloved wife of William, died at the age of 95 years. 

She was predeceased by her parents Christof and Franchiska Limberger; one brother; three sisters; and son-in-law Myrol Keleman. 

Bertha is survived by her husband of 77 years, William; five children, Leona (John) Bencze, Darlene Keleman, Valerie (Louis) Fazakas, Lorne (Jane) Labash, and Randy (Donna) Labash; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bertha and William lived on their farm near Lestock, where Bertha loved her gardening, and took pride in her flowers. Bertha always had the coffee pot on and a plate of baking on the table.

 Mom and dad retired to Regina in 2001 and lived on their own until November 2018 when they moved into a care home.

 Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina, SK, on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Ferdinand Eusebio officiating.  Reception to follow. Interment will be held at a later date.  Those so wishing may make memorial donations in Bertha’s name to a charity of your choice.
