Dear Michelle and Aja,
I worked in children's mental health when John was working with the RBE. He was such a fine psychologist. His skill with and his compassion for difficult kids and their families was remarkable. He was always pleasant and friendly. He was personal favourite of many of my colleagues. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy for your loss.

My sincere and most heartfelt condolences to John's family.
It was a great privilege to work with John for many years. He was by far one of the most insightful, intuitive, supportive and resourceful individuals who always provided clarity and direction regarding the students who were blessed to have him as an advocate. John's quick wit and sense of humour were always appreciated but what I valued most about John was that he always made me feel appreciated and a valued team member.
John will be greatly missed indeed!

John was always a voice of reasoning, processing, perceiving...with a depth of listening, a wisdom of relationships...a peer model to many people... on many different levels... as a high school friend, long time friend, and fellow psychologist.
John was always genuine, gentle, fair and well-liked by everyone. We will miss him greatly...his listening with love...love of family and friends.
Sending love and a heartful condolences to Michelle, Aja and family.

Dear Michelle and Aja,
I had the privilege of working with John at the Regina Board of Education. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. We could always count on John to assist us in addressing some of the most complex situations. Know that he will be remembered by many who worked with him as a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor and wit and was a true professional.

I had the privilege of working with John when I taught for the Regina Board of Education. Whenever I met with him to discuss a student who needed help, John was always kind and compassionate.. He cared deeply for the students within our school system. I loved his huge friendly smile and pleasant personality when I bumped into him outside of school. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. Lynn Fluter

Dear Michelle and Aja,
I was so sad to learn of John's passing. He was such an incredible person who positively touched the lives of many who were fortunate enough to have known him. I lost touch with John over the last few years and truly regret that. He was a wonderful friend and colleague, and I believe that the world is a bit emptier without him in it. I can only imagine how hard it is for you right now and I hope that soon your sadness will be replaced by fond memories of the time you had with John. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.
With sincere condolences,
Karen Messer-Engel

Very sorry to hear of John's passing. I met him when he worked for the Regina Board of Education, and I was a trustee. I remember once we were talking about good escapist reading, and I recommended the Patrick O"Brian series; hope he took me up on it. He's been in my prayers for years, and he will continue to be. My condolences to his family and colleagues.

Michelle and Aja,
I was saddened to read about John's passing. I know he was so proud of being a husband and father. John and I met when he assessed a student of mine, many years ago. John and I would recall that is was that student, who was John's first of many. John was a kind, caring and compassionate man, who will be missed. My prayers go out to you during this difficult time.

Dear Michelle and Aja,
We were saddened to hear of your husband’s/father’s passing. We shared the same high school as John and remember him to be a bright, respectful senior. As a teacher and LRT with Regina Public I had the pleasure of working with John whom always assessed children’s needs and talents with razor sharp skills and acted in their best interest with compassion and conviction. A good good man indeed.
With our condolences,
Kevin and Linda Whittle

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of John. I consider it a privilege to have had the opportunity to work with John when he supervised the Fresh Start Program. He was always respectful of staff and students alike. It was a sad time when he moved away from our program and a sadder day now. Let's hope he can now listen to some great jazz in the sky.
