Obituary of Mary Payne

Mary, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was  predeceased by her husband Geoffrey Payne; parents Stephen and Dumitra Bachiu; siblings, John, Dorothy, Helen, Virginia and Sandra; son Wayne Ursulescu; and grandson Ezra Burr. Mary is survived by sons, Richard and Horst; daughters, Deborah, Stephanie, Rachel and Paulette; grandchildren, Bonnie, Dana, Darcy, Chantal, Jaye, Tara, Kimberly, Lyndsey and Kari; as well as many great-grandchildren. Mary was born on December 2, 1922 on the family farm in the district of Limerick. She grew up helping on the family farm eventually moving to the city with her family. Her green thumb and love of flowers/lilies was unsurpassed. She loved gardening, crocheting and feeding family and friends her world famous cabbage rolls. Mary treated everyone like family and her heart was the most amazing thing about her. In respecting her wishes, there will be no funeral service. We would like to thank the nursing staff of Ward 5E of the Regina General Hospital for the kind and loving care they extended to her and her family.
