Obituary of Joy Larmer

Joy, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.  She and her twin brother were born in Prince Albert, SK. She was predeceased by her older brother William Leslie; and her twin brother at birth; her father and mother Leslie and Stella (nee MacDougall) Curror; grandparents Ronald and Henrietta (nee Griffith) MacDougall and John and Marion (nee Thompson) Curror. Joy is survived by her loving husband and best friend Orville, whom she married on October 20, 1956; her sister-in-law Ilo Mathieson; cousin Doris MacDougall and family of Edmonton, AB; as well as special cousins and nephews in Canada and England and extended family. Following a career in accounting, in Calgary and Regina, Joy became a dedicated volunteer having spent 25+ years at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, as well as time with the Regina Food Bank, Red Cross, the Regina Citizens Police Academy Alumni and the Senior Education at the University of Regina. Joy was a gentle soul who touched many lives! A Come and Go Tea, will be held at the Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to, may make memorial donations in Joy’s name to the charity of your choice.
