It’s a pity that I have not known Bertha, but I go to the English class in agyle church every Saturday. I am a new immigrant here,I am touched by the local Canadian friendly and kindness. I heard from others that Bertha Epp built this class many years ago,and helped lots of new comers. I want to say thanks to you.We are appreciate what you have done for us.

Bertha touched so many lives and helped so many international students. She is a wonderful grandma for every kid. We miss Bertha's turkey, spicy noodle, and all other delicious food she made. The love she gave to our family specifily to our daughters Alison and Michelle lasts forever.
Bertha, we miss you and love you.
From Wu's family.

Dear Arnold and Family,
We received the news yesterday about Bertha. We are grateful for the assurance that having lived for the Lord she now lives with the Lord. We remember Bertha as one who lived out her life in caring for and about others - husband, family, children (including our two) and seniors who needed help and support in many and various ways. She served in a way comparable to a minister who in some settings today would be referred to as Minister to Seniors and Minister to Children and Minister to Families!!! Most remarkable of all was the servant- heart that came through in everything that she did. It was evident to those who knew her that she was loving others because she was experiencing the Lord's love for her.
Argyle Road was the third of the five churches we served and our longest pastorate (12 years). Our two children both finished High School in Regina. Those years were like an oasis for us; we were renewed for our years to come in Toronto and Kingston. We are indebted to you both, Arnold, for the key role played by you both in making Argyle Road a place of renewal for us, as we entered into our final pastorates in Ontario. Be assured of our prayers tomorrow...and that we would be delighted to visit with you whenever you are in Toronto.
Gratefully yours, Bill and Phyllis Adams

My family and I came to Regina in Sep,2019 and my friend introduced English class to us. Since then we attended and enjoyed it almost every week. Although we hadn't met you, Bertha, we actually got great support from you. Thank you! God bless!

I am so very sorry to hear the news of Bertha's passing. I have not seen her since I was a young girl. She used to babysit me at my home on Grant Rd. I will always remember how warm and wonderful she was and her cinnamon buns were out of this world. She always made me my own batch with no raisins. I loved her for this.
I have never forgotten her as she was part of a wonderful childhood memory. She touched my heart and I know she will be greatly missed. My sincerest condolences to your family.

God needed a special angel. So sad to hear of Bertha's passing. We will miss seeing Arnold each lunch hour at Elmview attending to Bertha's needs and helping out other residence. Although mom has only been in Elmview since the fall, 2018 Arnold was like a kindred spirit. My deepest condolences to you and all your family.

So sorry for your loss Arnold and family. Your dedication to, and love for, Bertha was always uplifting when we were visiting Allen (Dad) at Elmview. It was comforting to visit with someone who understood the bittersweet dilemma of losing part of a loved one to Dementia. May warm memories of happy times with Bertha and God’s blessings help to ease your sorrow. Take care. With sympathy, Laura and Pam Larsen

So sorry to hear this, Arnold. Bertha was a wonderful soul. If she had done nothing in her life but bake butter tarts, that would have been enough for me. But she obviously did much, much more than that. She made the world a better place.
