To Marlene, Lenore and Carrol. I have so many fond memories of visiting your Mom at the farm, then later on in town and finally in Balcarres. My family and I were the recipients of many a delicious meal prepared by Aunt Mina. We enjoyed our visits wherever they were and will remember your Mom as a great host. Carrol, I am sorry for your loss. It doesn't matter what a long and happy life Mina led; she was your mom. I remember fondly visits to the farm when I was growing up. Mina was a great cook. I am also pleased that I got to see her more recently. Mom and I invited Mina for happy hour when Mom was in the Abernethy Senior Center for a brief time. And Mina had a gin, just like the Queen Mum! When Mom moved to Ft. Qu'Appelle, whenever I came home we would go see Mina in Balcarres. It was always a great visit and she was an inspiration. Hopefully my mom can make 100 too.

I never met Mina but what a lovely write up. Through my years of friendship with Carrol i have such a vivid impression of a warm and caring woman who put great value in family and community.
