Margaret Lustig

Obituary of Margaret Ann Lustig

It is with deep love and sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret at age 88 years after a brief hospital stay. She was predeceased by her parents August and Margaret Pilz and her husband Bill. Margaret is survived by her daughter Julia (Mark) Mallinson of Kelowna B.C. and her son Ron (Wendy) Lustig of Regina; four grandchildren Genevieve (Dane), Alyssa, Austin (Shanelle) and Reid; three great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Kellan and Olivia. Marg was born in Regina and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy.  She then worked in an accounting office and married Bill in 1951. When they started their family in 1957, Marg became a full time homemaker.   She loved to bake and cook with her children and later with her grandchildren. Many lifelong friends were made in the Pasqua street neighborhood where Marg loved her coffee and scrabble time. One of her favourite pastimes was going to garage sales with Bill and finding bargains on "quality merchandise."  We are very thankful for the special friends she met during her six years at Wintergreen Estates and for the wonderful care she received at Harbour Landing Village over the last year and a half. Marg was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and we will dearly miss her sweet, kind nature and her spirited conversations. An informal Celebration of Margaret's life will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina, SK on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at 2 p.m.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com
