I can still see and hear her laugh, she was a joy to be around. There is no way to replace the ones we lose, I choose to remember the good things and treasure those memories. She is gone to soon.

I am at a loss for words. My special friend of 45 years is gone in the blink of an eye. I still cant believe it and miss our conversations and jokes and visits. Believe it or not, we had fun at the information counter at CRA back in the day. It was a privilege to help people. And Susan continued to help people all of her life. When she told us every day "To look on the bright side", she meant it and lived it . She has left a lot of friends behind. She cared about people and made lasting friends easily. She loved her big family and I send my heartfelt sympathy to them. It is difficult having to be without her but she will remain forever in many hearts. Good bye Susan.

“Those who love passionately teach us how to live”. - S. Ban Breathnach. This is so true of our beautiful Susan (Suzie) who lived and loved and did everything with passion including shopping. So what if the clothing/SHOE thing got a little out of control.
Our beautiful Susan, with her short platinum blonde hair, trendy glasses and radiant smile, always opened up her heart and home to others. Her philosophy in life was simple – to be humble and kind not just to family and friends, but to everyone. When someone needed help, she helped them; if she had an item someone needed, she gave it freely, always from the heart. She believed that any blessings we receive should be paid forward.
Her home was the gathering place where we all met, talked and laughed and nobody paid attention to what anyone was saying anyway – but there was good food, warmth and love within a tasteful candlelit decor.
I will cherish these memories, the good times, the shopping excursions to Walmart, Safeway and “the little old ladies store”, the fun trips to Cuba, but most of all her laughter and of course that smile, that amazing smile.
Susan (“Q” as I often called her) was my sister. I loved her. We all did. We can continue to learn a lot from this girl as we go along our own personal journeys.

My beautiful Auntie! So much of my childhood memories are with you and times we spent at your apartment. Ordering Chinese food watching movies, hanging out. Those were great times. You were always so stylish from your clothes to your hair to your home. You even let me drive your Camero lol. You were a good Auntie. Always interested in what was happening in our lives. Smart, always helping us with our taxes. We were so lucky to have you. As my cousin Vinessa said “ a real Jem “. You will indeed be missed. You told me about two weeks ago that you love your family very much. Well we also love you very much! Rest easy Auntie. -Gina.

Wow, Susan sure resembles Pat in this photo. I am the youngest of Grandma k’s grandchildren so only knew Susan a little. I always loved the portrait of her and Sam that hung in aunty alma’s Living room and hoped that while we were visiting that they might stop by also. My heart goes out to Sam, her siblings and extended family. I don’t think I will part with the shoes that came my way from Susan, via her sister Pat. I know she had quite the shoe fettish. You will be truly missed. Hugs, cousin Jenny

To my beautiful Aunt, I still have the very first pair of shoes you bought me when I was a baby. I am grateful for all of the time I spent with you growing up and I will always remember the fun weekends we spent together eating coconut shrimp, singing and dancing to Rick Astley “Never going to give you up”. You were a special Aunt and friend. I will miss our texts and my annual call to ask you about my taxes ;)
Rest easy you are at peace now. Xoxoxo

To the family of Susan Lane - Please accept our condolences for the passing of Susan. She was one of the most terrific people we ever met. We both worked with Susan at CRA and she always had us smiling. Her positive and friendly attitude as well as her laugh was very infectious. She was a class act and she will leave a void in this world. Thinking of you all at this time, Janice and Brian Ackerman.

She always called me Cindy Lou. We called her Suzy Q.
Susan was such a vibrant lady - classy and always with a smile on her face. I worked with her at Revenue Canada (CRA) for many years (like 20) - and I never recall her being without a smile and kind word.
Over the past few years we shared a few messages on Face Book. Often she would remind me of quirky little things that had happened....like the time my then 5 year old daughter told her we were going to Tom Wondo's house. (Taekwondo) - she laughed and laughed. She loved telling that story.
My condolences to the family. I know she will be missed.

Susan will be so missed by everyone that knew her. A heart of gold, a hilarious sense of humour, and one of the most lovely people one could meet. Suzie, we will miss your smile, your laugh, your caring hugs. Who will remind us now about all the funny things that have happened and gave us such great laughs.
Suzie, my friend, you will be in my heart forever. Just one last time I wish I could hear your whisper “sailor suit”

So many laughs and tears shed with Susan over all the years I worked with her and coffees with her. She will be truly missed.
My condolences to her family. How she loved you all, especially Sam. How she worried hat you were so thin and tiny when you were small. How happy she was that Tom came with three lovey daughters and later grandchildren that she was so proud of.
I can’t imagine how the Francis sisters will ever be the same without her. She will never get to finish that book about their many adventures.
Suzie you were one of a kind. Rest In Peace my fuddy duddy buddy.
