I have known Father Morrissey since he was a priest and I was a child at Little Flower Parish in Regina, probably in the 1950s. He was close to my parents over the years and was highly supportive of them as they approached the end of their lives. He was a gentle and holy priest, setting an example of the kindness to which we should all aspire.

Father Morrissey was an incredible blessing to all who crossed his path. He served as our guidance counsellor at O'Neil High, and did so in an unwavering fashion of devotion and compassion.
He not only ministered to us, his students, but also to the families, in some cases, for decades. I know my grandmother being one of his parishioners, was one who went regularly to him for comfort and guidance.
God bless you Father Morrissey, rest in peace faithful, faithful servant. We love you.

Dear Morrissey family, Sincere condolences for your loss of a wonderful priest who served his parishes with the most caring and compassionate way. His love for liturgical music and classics endeared him to our music ministry at Blessed Sacrament Church. I met father many years ago when he filled in for our Hungarian parish priest, he loved to be at our small parish and interestingly I was organist then and recently for a few years at Blessed Sacrament. He never failed to "thank" the music ministry after each Mass. His homilies were so profound and never with a script he just did it without any notes of any kind. He will be remembered for his kindness, and for the love of his parishioner and always spoke highly of his family members.
May he rest in Peace and let the Perpetual light shine upon him.

My soul warms knowing how many Father Emmett helped guide and supported during his time here on Earth. He dedicated his entire life to the workings of the Lord and we are comforted that he is now with his Maker.
Father Emmett was one of the kindest and gentlest souls I ever met. He showered his family with love and appreciation. He NEVER missed an opportunity to celebrate a holiday or milestone in your life. He also never missed a Notre Dame or Saskatchewan Riders game ❤️
His heart was open to everyone and his legacy will live on in the souls he touched.
We love you Father Emmett. We miss you. And we will remember your teachings and lead this life with light, love and laughter. Just as you did.
Go Riders! Go Notre Dame!

My prayers and condolences to Fr. Emmett Morrissey's family. Fr. was a cherished friend and spiritual counsellor at Ursuline High. He was a big part of getting me through grade XII - in the class room, in church and at group parties. - good times.
And even after he knew me - he still consented to marry my husband and I in 1970..
God bless your soul dear Fr. and reward you with a joyful eternity in heaven. Amen

So very sad to hear this news. I had both the pleasure and the privilege of working with Father at O'Neill High School and consider him an exceptional individual who was a great inspiration not only to myself but to many others. RIP Padre.
