Arlene Ross

Obituary of Arlene Ross

Arlene, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Friday May 3, 2019 in the Palliative Care unit at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 71 years. She was predeceased by her mother Olive McBride and sister Sheila. Arlene is survived by her father Terry Bearss; spouse Jim Ross; daughter Carla Ross of Chestermere; son Terry Ross (Jaime) of Regina; seven grandchildren, Toniesha (Robert), Whitney, Tiaunna, Taleah, Anika, Alexander, and Zachary; great-granddaughter Romee; sisters, Tara (Baron) of Medicine Hat, Patsy (Ray) of Vancouver; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and her loving dog Cici. Arlene was born and raised in Regina where she spent the majority of her life. Arlene’s family meant everything to her and she was a mother to all. She dedicated her life to working hard to ensure that her children and grandchildren had the means to achieve all of their goals in life. Arlene was a caring, supportive, brave, and loving woman who never put her needs above others. When Arlene wasn’t working, she loved to watch her grandkids ride horses, play sports, dance, sing, and do jujitsu. Arlene had a love for horses and loved spending time around horses with her granddaughters. Even with a devastating diagnosis, Arlene put on a shield of armour and fought like a champion for three and a half years. She was able to see her eldest granddaughter get married and meet her first great-granddaughter. Arlene will always be remembered for the love she had for everyone, her butter tarts, her down to earth attitude, and her contagious laugh. In respect of Arlene’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Friends so wishing, may make memorial donations in Arlene’s name, to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7.
