Carol Richardson

Obituary of Carol Richardson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol, on the afternoon of Thursday, May 9, 2019 with family by her side, at the age of 76 years.  She was predeceased by her daughter Tracy; her son Ralph Jr.; her parents John and Isabelle Stevenson; her older brother Jim; her in-laws William and Amelia Richardson; and her brother-in-law Dennis MacDonald.

Carol is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Ralph Sr.; son Mike (Shelly); daughter Michelle (Rob); son-in-law Scott; Ralph Jr’s partner Brenda; grandchildren, Stacalea (Jim), Alexandra (Lyndon), Samantha (Jeramiah), Ryan and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Jailyn, Aiden, Kylan and Isaac; sister Jackie (John); sister-in-law Judy; nieces and nephews, Trisha, Steven, Kerry-Anne and Nicole; and her best friend and next best thing to a sister, Lynne Taylor.

Carol was born in Hamilton, Ontario and spent her formative years there with her family and friends. In 1969 Carol moved west with her husband Ralph Sr, sons, Mike and Ralph Jr. and daughter Tracy. Michelle wouldn’t arrive for more than year. She liked to bowl, do ceramics, listen to music, dance, watch sports, spend time with family, entertain and have a cold one. Carol loved getting together with her girls for lunches, shopping, hair coloring, nail painting and gabbing. She loved to have family around during the holidays, spending time with grandkids and sunning herself on the deck with her husband by her side. She also loved spending time with her beloved dog George.

The family wishes to thank the caring paramedics and the awesome personnel on Units 3D and Palliative Care at the Pasqua Hospital. In respect of Carol’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make memorial donations in Carol’s name to the Palliative Care Unit, Unit 3A, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1A5.

“The hole in our family has become even bigger having lost mom.  Mom watched over her family with an iron will and a heart of gold, she showed us how to live our lives and in the end how to leave this world with dignity, grace, strength and bravery.  She will always be missed and forever loved!”
