Obituary of Jean Wong

WONG, Yuet Kam Jean

Jean, age 96 years, of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. She was born on October 4, 1923 in Taishan, Guangdong, China. Jean was predeceased by her two brothers; one sister; son-in-law, Moon Gee; two daughters-in-law, Ding Wong and Verna Wong; and infant grandson, Adam. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 78 years, Art.  She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her eight children, Lillian, Jim (Suzanne), Jack, Walter, Norm (Rita), Sue (Ron), Charlie (Rhonda), and Betty (Don); fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Jean was a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and a friend to many. She had a big heart that touch many lives through her talents in handicrafts, cooking, gardening, and providing for her family. With the arrival of the grandchildren, Jean was always there to lend a helping hand. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Parkside Extendicare for their kind and compassionate care of Mom. Visitation will be at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
